Discovering Cap Rocat Hotel

Since the early days of human history, the Mediterranean Sea has played an incredibly important role. It is the place that enabled trade, the connections of different civilizations, and the growth and dominance of various empires. But now, even after thousands of years of history, the Mediterranean is just as important and sought after as ever before.

Towards the western end of this great sea, located on the Spanish island of Mallorca, you will find a place unlike any other in the world. Cap Rocat Hotel is an oasis containing everything that makes the region one of the most desirable vacation destinations you’ll ever have the privilege of discovering. Containing the perfect combination of landscaping, personal amenities, and a seemingly unrivaled historical significance, the widespread praise of the hotel is clearly well deserved. As you walk down the beach, feeling the fresh sea breeze and watching the sun set to the west, you will recognize why these islands have attracted the attention of romantics around the world.

Combining History with Luxury

The legendary island of Mallorca (Majorca) is well-known for its perfect weather, its palm trees, its landscape, and its accessibility from Europe. But it is also known for its profound amount of history. What makes Cap Rocat so remarkably impressive is its ability to embody everything that is good about modern hospitality with the historical significance of the Mediterranean’s past.

The hotel itself is located in one of the more isolated components of the island in a former military fortress that has been described as “exceptionally beautiful”. As you walk around Cap Rocat’s spacious grounds, you will bear witness to what can be considered the absolute pinnacle of Mediterranean architecture. The combination of washed sandstone, colorful mosaic tiles, and symmetrical archways are just a few of the features that make Cap Rocat such an iconicregional relic.

Antonio Obrador was tasked with refurbishing the fortress in order to create a space capable of functioning as a luxury hotel. As you look around, you will realize that not only was he capable of maintaining the integrity of the fortress’ remarkable architecture, he was also able to include all of the luxury features he knew the hotel’s high-profile guests would demand. Despite the hotel’s military past, the rooms are spacious and perfectly integrated into the available space. High ceilings, carefully selected materials, and ample sources of light each combine to make waking up in Cap Rocat an incredibly delightful experience for all.
